2s & 3s Lose to Weather Again
Heavy overnight and early morning showers put paid to the 2s and 3s home fixtures on Saturday as waterlogged squares at Myreside and Craiglockhart saw both games fall early victims on Saturday morning.
2nd XI Continue Unbeaten Start
‘Sonians arrived at Grange Loan in high spirits, despite a close shave against Glenrothes the previous weekend. To many of the player’s surprise, Carlton put ’Sonians in on what looked like a typical belter of a Grange Loan deck. It became apparent that the Carlton skipper, Duerden, had one eye on the weather when he decided to field.
2nd XI Play Joker Card as Zafar Comes Up Trumps
Cricket can throw up some odd scorelines occasionally and some even odder emotions. The 2nd XI fixture at Riverside Park this weekend, where Ally Fleming took charge of team playing Glenrothes, gave us a bit of both.
2s Open Defence of Title with Win
After a first week washout at Craiglockhart against Fauldhouse Victoria the Second XI finally saw some competitive action when they travelled to Largo on Saturday.
President Trophy 2011
The first fixture of the 2011 has been drawn and see’s ’Sonians Presidents Trophy XI travel to Musselburgh in Round One in a tie to be held by the 23rd May 2011.
