Watsonian CC are pleased to announce that a deal has been agreed to bring George Worker to Myreside as Coach & Professional for the 2012 summer.

As part of the deal Worker will also represent the Scottish Saltires in their 12 CB40 fixtures during the summer.

The fixtures for the 1st XI for 2012 CSL (Cricket Scotland League) and Scottish Cup have been released by Cricket Scotland today and see ‘Sonians open their East Premier Division Campaign at home to Forfarshire on the 12th May.

Following lengthy debate across Scotland since the end of the 2011 season the new structure was finally released by Cricket Scotland a few weeks ago and will see changes to the structure for the competitions the 1st XI compete in from the start of the 2012 season.

Whilst Edinburgh residents opened their curtains to monsoon like weather on Saturday morning the reports that the rain had passed through Greenock were welcomed by Craig Wright’s side as they set off on the journey through to Glenpark.
