The Under 15s have had their unbeaten run ended by Penicuik in a League and Cup double.

 

 

When senior batsmen Little and Cash went cheaply a decent total was always going to be challenging. It was left to Phillip Bryans (12) and Duncan Cockburn (13) to try to build the innings.

 

Duncan played some good shots and Phillip displayed patience and good technique. When top score is “extras” you know you have a problem.

 

Skipper Cash, stating the obvious said, “We never posted enough runs”.

 

Despite some tight bowling from Nimmo, Cash and Cockburn, Penicuik managed one decent partnership which proved decisive, knocking off the modest Watsonian total of 81 in the 18th over.
