An undefeated Saturday saw victories for the 1st and 3rd XI’s over Greenock and Stirling 3s whilst the 2nd XI’s match at Fauldhouse fell victim to the weather when the fixture was abandoned just short of being a game.

 
At Myreside the 1st XI swept aside the challenge of a Greenock side who have under performed for most of the season. The visitors dismissed in under 20 overs with destroyer in chief Stuart ‘Chumba’ Chalmers who recorded a five wicket haul as ‘Sonians surged to victory, significantly increasing their net run rate in the process.

 
Over at Craiglockhart youngsters Fergus McNab & Andrew Malin took the bulk of the wickets as Stirling 3s were dismissed for 135. In reply a rapid start from Burnett, Lockhart & Easton was followed by a cautious but steady approach as ‘Sonians got home to pick up 20 points with 6 wickets and 10 overs to spare.

On Monday evening the Watsonian Wildcats travel to Grange Loan to take on Carlton Under 13s in a repeat of the tied fixture a week ago. The winner is guaranteed top spot in the table and I’m sure the team would appreciate some support if anyone wants to drop by Grange Loan tomorrow.
