Teams for 7 August
Teams for this week are almost finalised.
The firsts moved to the top of the SNCL table last week after an emphatic nine wicket victory over struggling Greenock. With only one change to the team this week – Vijay coming in for Wright – the Myreside men will look to keep their top spot as they travel to Aberdeen. At Myreside earlier in the season Watsonians dismissed the northerners for 90 – with captain Paige getting 6-20 – before knocking off the runs inside 20 overs.
Keith Flannigan deputises for the seconds’ skipper as he looks to overcome the challenge of Grange II at Myreside. Flanners and co will be looking to replicate the performance from earlier in the season when they beat the Grange by nine wickets in order to boost their cushion at the top of the league.
After three wins on the trot, the threes travel to Loretto School to face Musselburgh. Musselburgh are currently second in the league and Gaywood is looking for a much closer match than the earlier fixture at Craiglockhart. The big news for team selection this week is the return of Colin Siller for his first game of the season.
