Saturday Summary – 2nd XI League Champions!

The Second XI led the way for the club yesterday securing their first ever East League Division One title with a week to spare with a seven wicket victory over Edinburgh 2s at Craiglockhart.

Even a complete whitewash at second placed Carlton 2s next Saturday would still see the 2s crowned champions of the top league in the East of Scotland.

The First XI are still very much in the hunt in the nations top league after a narrow 2 run victory over West of Scotland at Myreside, a home win for Grange over Aberdeenshire ensured that the Raeburn Place outfit stay top and that the season entered the final week with all still to play for in the SNCL Premier Division.

Next Saturday the 1s travel to third placed Dunfermline with 2nd place already guaranteed while Grange travel to forth placed Forfarshire next weekend with the big prize still up for grabs.

The Third XI bowled well to restrict Carlton 3s at Peffermill however came up short by 30 runs in a disappointing batting display

The club go looking for their second piece of silverware this weekend today when they host Musselburgh in the Presidents Plate Final at Myreside (1pm).
