International ‘Sonians – Paddy & Pistols
Over the past seven days two of the ‘Sonians squad, Paddy Sadler and Pete ‘Pistols’ Legget, have been in action for Scotland at the ICC European Under 19 Cricket World Cup Qualifiers in Belfast.

It has been an exceptional tournament for both the guys and all at the club wish to congratulate them on their own personal achievements and to their successful team mates.
The Scots under the Captaincy of Paddy Sadler won all five of their fixtures defeating Ireland, Denmark, Netherlands, Guernsey and Jersey on route to the title which puts them into the next qualifying stage for the next Under 19 World Cup.

Between Paddy (15 wickets) and Pistols (10 wickets) they took 25 of the 49 wickets Scotland took in the tournament and both finished in the Top 10 ‘Most Valuable’ Players list for the tournament. Pistols figures included a haul of 5-19 against Guernsey whilst Paddy going in to the final game of the tournament had a remarkable economy rate of 1.8 runs per over and whilst taking the new ball always caused damage to the oppositions top order.
Well done guys!
