Chubby hit successive balls for 4 to seal an 8 wicket win for Scotland who now regain top spot in the I-Cup table from an Afghanistan side who defeated Ireland last week.

Final Scoreboard:
Kenya 91ao (Berrington 3-13, Drummond 3-18) and 323ao (Nel 5-107, Haq 3-46); Scotland 306ao (Sheikh 108, Berrington 80) and 110-2 (Lockhart 51*, Coetzer 34, EF Chalmers 18*)

Whilst some of the 4 Day Scotland squad will stay on to take on Kenya and Uganda in T20 matches in Nairobi, both ‘Sonians currently in Kenya, Chubby and Stuart ‘Chumba’ Chalmers, now head home to Edinburgh to rejoin the ‘Sonians squad who have been working hard in the winter nets.

As two ‘Sonians fly ‘Out of Africa’ though another heads across.

Paddy Sadler is South Africa bound today as he heads to Pietermaritzburg which is an hour inland from Durban. He will be based at the HA International Cricket Academy, which is a full time academy, for the next six weeks. Paddy will be training with a mixture of players from England and academy recruits from South Africa.

He will also be playing games for both the Academy and Varsity CC and has delivered the message that he is going across to work hard before returning to do some damage at Myreside this summer!

Details of the academy can be found at
